Venture capital allocated to Latin American startups reached 4.696 billion dollars in 2025, an increase of 65% from the previous year. However, the recovery did not benefit the entire ecosystem equally: seed rounds represented 56% of the transactions, but concentrated only 7% of the available capital.
The combination of higher investment and lower dispersion of resources poses a concrete challenge for technology companies. Securing initial capital no longer guarantees access to the next stage; startups must demonstrate that they can convert their resources into repeatable processes, measurable results, and sustainable growth.
The challenge comes after the seed round
Regional funding is concentrating on companies with greater traction and expansion capacity. According to the outlook shared by Endeavor, only 5% of the startups that obtained seed capital in 2022 managed to move to the next funding stage.
This behavior increases pressure on founding teams. With tight budgets, they must handle sales, customer service, marketing, inventory, data analytics, and internal coordination without multiplying systems or manual tasks. Operational efficiency ceases to be merely an administrative goal and becomes a prerequisite for sustaining growth.
The operation also forms part of the investment proposition
For a technology startup, explaining how much capital it has raised is insufficient if it cannot show how it uses it. Investors need to observe an operation capable of measuring response times, sales follow-up, team productivity, and channel performance as demand increases.
At Onix Board we bring together tools to centralize customers, conversations, content, sales, inventories, teams, and digital channels. The platform integrates multichannel conversational automation, a unified inbox, contact management, intent-driven workflows, AI-assisted content generation, and analytical dashboards by flow and channel.
This approach allows starting with a specific process, such as customer support or prospect follow-up, and expanding implementation as verifiable results are obtained. By connecting an interaction with its follow-up, owner, and outcome, the company can reduce fragmentation and gain a clearer read of its operation.
Measure before scaling
The priority should not be to accumulate functions, but to define which operational problem you want to solve and with which indicators progress will be evaluated. Response times, automated tasks, opportunities attended, campaign performance, and channel performance can serve as control points to decide which processes are worth expanding.
In a market where capital is recovering, but concentrated in fewer companies, startups that organize their operations can communicate their growth capacity more clearly. Onix Board can be the starting point to centralize processes, automate tasks, and turn daily activity into useful information for decision making.
