Jeff Bezos at VivaTech: AI will "create" a labor shortage, not replace humans
21/06/2026
Jeff Bezos stated at the VivaTech conference in Paris that artificial intelligence will generate a labor shortage rather than substitute workers, and presented that perspective as part of an optimistic view on how AI will accelerate innovation and physical manufacturing.
In his words, “And I think, in fact, AI is going to create a labor shortage,” a message he linked to projects focused on applying AI to physical engineering and production.
Bezos explained that tools designed to accelerate manufacturing and bring ideas to market more quickly — including initiatives related to his new company Prometheus — could increase demand for technical and operational roles capable of turning those ideas into real products.
For companies, that scenario requires modernizing processes and management platforms that integrate AI practically: customer service automation, content generation, and unified analytics to optimize operations and meet growing demand.
At Onix Board we have features designed to accompany that transition, including multi-channel conversational automation, AI-assisted content generation, a unified inbox, and analytical dashboards that consolidate sales and marketing metrics. These capabilities help reduce operational frictions and scale support and production without multiplying suppliers.
